DETAILS: Responding to calls regarding ice cream truck that runs at night in central TROY. Dispatch received 3 unrelated calls this week reporting ice cream truck cruising downtown bars and selling to intoxicated patrons. Reports indicate the truck starts its run from this area. Possible merchant license violation, hours of service violation, health violation. Possible territorial dispute with local trucks.

LOCATION: IN/TRNST, W/PARK BLVD
DETAILS: Acquired ice cream truck fitting description, heading toward downtown TROY. Driver appears to be wearing white uniform. Male. Long black hair. Black gloves. Distinct facial features. Officer made eye contact. Subject smiled. No seatbelt evident.

DETAILS: Ice cream truck activated audio. Song playing: unknown. Officer disengaged subject and parked around the corner/FULTON ST. Truck slowly making its way down RIVER ST. Follows traffic laws. Flashing lights and SLOW flaps functioning properly. Appears to be vending to patrons at JOSE MALONE’S, RYAN’S WAKE, ALE HOUSE, others. Takes its time.

DETAILS: Engaged patrons at RIVER STREET CLUB prior to truck’s arrival. Officer directed customer PAULINA HARGRAVE, age: 22, to question truck driver in a flirtacious manner. Cash reward.

DETAILS: Reacquired subject. Subject aware of squad car. Using back roads and turning off lights while making turns. Officer hid squad car behind billboard/shut off lights. Subject passing, turning onto HITCH HILL RD. Officer in pursuit, lights off.

DETAILS: Parked squad car and followed on foot. Night watchman at RENSSELAER COUNTY MORGUE reports seeing no vehicles pass. Watchman nervous. Officer circling around to back of facility.
